our stay in Moab
Hello Rene,
Our stay with you went very well.
The comfort was very good and even better when I discovered how it could open the shutters, making
that I felt less confined in the room! The place is
very nice, not far from the road but not enough to be no noise or dust.
I loved your cats.
We could make a laundry, which was very pleasant
We could see in your garden, while nearby, a little lazy went down and it was really beautiful!
We found the great price and more later when we traveled the rest of the country I often found it expensive or very expensive for what we had. So between us), you could even, I think, increase the price compared to the rest of the country and the comfort you offer.
What I did not like:
- all these dangerous animals are there, scorpions, spiders, centipedes, snakes ... It should also be said that this was the beginning of our trip and I found it very impressive. Then I saw that the country is the same everywhere. And I am afraid all these bugs!
I myself am not totally accustomed afterwards but I had less fear, especially those that are harmless. And finally, the benefit of the trip;) since I came here, I'm not afraid of spiders and other insects from here!
We Actuar thanks to the group, organized a visit to the village of Yorkin snatches. This was an extraordinary experience and one of the things I was most pleased with our whole trip of 6 weeks.
I spent in Costa Rica with my son, a wonderful vacation!
I bought a hammock that I installed in my living room now that it's too cold outside. When I can, I take a siesta with my cat who just meet me and think of you because I know you're a big fan of this hobby;) and I understand you ...
I hope you can make the most of your home to other hosts. And who knows? if we go back to VC, I will not fail to move you. Friendly greetings
Michele

We watch with nostalgia the new photos posted on the blog and we remember our December holiday in Costa Rica. ..
A true immersion in a more authentic site (compared to the Pacific coast). In the middle of a jungle filled with animals: sloths, monkeys, toucans, butterflies ... and of course the most ferocious animal: Bruce the dog in the house who showed us (like it or not) to the beach, grocery stores, internet ...
Our best memories? beautiful beaches parks Service ... walks in the forest (Manzanillo, Cahuita), water to over 28 degrees ... the friendliness of the Costa Rican ... good batidos de mora (milk mixed with blackberry), the casados really cheap of plantains, the magnoc ... coconuts started by Juan and enjoyed live on the beach .... the beautiful parrots flying over the house ... the good weather we breathtaking that has changed a lot of French cold December ... Even if it rains it does not last very long it quickly returns to a bright sunshine after a cloudburst!
We do not forget the charming creatures: spiders, snakes, scorpions, mosquitoes, toads, but ... we made it fast and they are not nasty! Suffice to say we were disoriented in returning to France.
When will the next trip?

We had a fabulous stay in June at Casa Moabi. Rene was in France at the time, but we were superbly briefed by mail on all there was to see in the region. We even received a "road book" with all the places to explore in the park of Cahuita for a chance to see many animals as possible. Rene has also called for France to see if everything was alright and to give us a few good tips.
People who were guarding the house for a month were super nice.
We stayed in the pavilion. It is very well arranged. If you want to see you Surrounded by nature day and night, this is the place. What a pleasure to sleep with the sounds of the forest as background music. The cries of howler monkeys is the top ... excitement guaranteed.
For spiders, is it true are big, but after one day and then you get used to the more nasty are not well and they eat mosquitoes (we were not very disturbed by them)
In the garden We saw a lot of birds, howler monkeys around, a lazy, lizards, insects and spiders.
For weather, I do not know if we were lucky, but the sun was not Stop at the rendezvous. Rain (rain) and the storms were just overnight guests.
In short, we were met by our short stay at Casa Moabi.
Another big thank you.

Day 2 - Day 3 -
We leave Tuesday morning to Cahuita, specifically Playa Chiquita (south of Puerto Viejo) where we go to Rene, another French, and there is our favorite of the trip!
We arrive late in the middle of the afternoon, we discover Rene, her 2 dogs, his house: a real paradise run by a man hard at first, but how generous!
If you have a good feeling with him, it was for us, you will receive guided tours of parks Cahuita and Manzanillo. You will have the opportunity to see all kinds of animals, the white-faced monkey, the iguana, through the howler monkey ... etc.. With all our travel
Park Cahuita is when we finally made the pluus meetings, thanks to our host ... (He lived in Africa, and has an incredible view!)
So end of the afternoon, Rene supports us to take us to see a beautiful beach near his home, and next day visit the park of Cahuita. Side
budget: Cahuita Park: on returning from Cahuita (the village) you give what you want ($ 10 for us 3); Casa Moabi: $ 50 per night for a double room with private bathroom. You'll have access to the kitchen at will.
In our case, we had the chance to share with René 3 good lobsters purchased him from a local fisherman in Puerto Viejo. Unforgettable!

We especially to say that Casa Moabi is a wonderful place in paradise! We will never forget this great scenery and the magnificent holiday in the heart of nature, both for the magnificence of the vegetation, the cries and the presence of animals to keep us company, or accommodation comfortable and colorful turns out to be quite luxurious compared to many others in this country ...
is also the meeting place of nice people who stay as well and with which the exchange is friendly formatting. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to share pleasant moments with them and keep very good memories.
Besides our host Rene welcomed us in his heaven with open arms, like a true friend on whom we could count at any time and so naturally it would seem that we always knew ... Especially
more than we absolutely can not doubt his skills to guide us, unearthing hidden or spotting any animal, unnoticed or confused with nature with our eyes, even over long distances, there is no problem for him ... it's innate, unconditional love for nature is apparent both in his behavior toward people or animals.
We realize very quickly that he has only one wish: to show you, teach you, you do meet, you know and share what they know, how not to be enraptured by such a charisma that gets within reach in all humility? To our delight, we do not arrive and there is really for us an extraordinary meeting, which is already a magical place of all its beauty and splendor, a great experience, unforgettable and exquisite!
We wish all those who want to go there to vacation at the end of the world as unique as ours ...

arrived yesterday from Costa Rica, I highly recommend Casa Moabi. Puerto Viejo is not terrible but Casa Moabi worth staying there. We slept in the casita (2 pairs) and it was really a change of scenery. As for Rene Juan is a character as we meet shortly. We spent 15 days in CR and it will be our best memories!
The price is right because the CR is an expensive destination. To do: Cahuita (one of the parks where we saw more animals thanks to Rene), plunged in the PMT range Codes (nearby), and the waterfall if Rene wants to take you there. -

Week 3: Caribbean Coast
We spent the next 4 days. Really it's a place we really enjoy because of his less commercial side less American. The Us · met a French expatriate true lover of nature and it has really well recommended to visit the beautiful places and we even served as a guide. With him we saw the corners of Punta beach Uva, visit the park with him Cahuita and thanks to him we could see monkeys, sloths, iguanas and birds without number, in fact we saw more animals in two days with him than all the rest of the month
Week 4: Tracol.
We took a boat trip to see the crocodile "Crocodile Man". We appreciate this visit and especially when the guide goes to the bank and hand feeds a crocodile, really impressive
.
Special thanks to Rene (the French expatriate) who advised us well and headed in our visits.

We had booked the morning through a bedroom at Rene Pierre at Casa Moabi. Charming house lost in the wilderness. When you're not exhausted from his trip by plane and 10 hours of car, it seems they may be awakened by howler monkeys. The garden is beautiful, with toucans, hummingbirds and a wide variety of plants.
We eat in a restaurant recommended by René Caribbean.
3rd day: visit the Park of Cahuita - Ponte turtle night
the morning we will visit the Park of Cahuita with Rene as a guide. We saw several herons, egrets before to enter the park. We go through the village of Cahuita, and left what we want as entrance fee. Once in the park, we see iguanas, sloths. We drink milk directly to the coconut and capuchin monkeys are fed with the flesh of the nut. We also see a raccoon who is busy breaking crab claws.
good 3 hours to walk 8km. On leaving the park, there is a small restaurant with a pool that is reaching. Paradise! In addition, fish prepared with coconut is delicious!
We spent part of the afternoon to enjoy the hammocks of the Casa Moabi.
the evening, we try our luck with Rene for go see turtles laying eggs on the beach. 3 hours of waiting, but unfortunately they will not come ...
Day 4: Visit the zoo with monkeys, sloths
Rene brings us to a center with lazy-monkeys. The first part of the visit is heavily loaded with snakes. Then we brought in an aviary bird but instead, it is full of monkeys who only want to play with us. Awesome! Then we continue the tour outside and we can approach the baby sloths and monkeys babies who are there because abandoning or wounded. The cuddle with the baby monkey who falls asleep in our arms will remain a great memory!

Accommodation: Casa Moabi: stroke heart of the trip - we are in the casita, large house on 2 floors - no wall - in the middle of the forest, yet comfortable. We will spend a very pleasant stay - run by a French Juan (true VF) that we received a very sympathetic and we will advise and guide during our stay, for an unbeatable price.
July 1: Start with
Juan to the park of Cahuita. 3 good hours walk to the cross, the first dip in the warm sea! We see our first animals, monkeys, sloths, iguanas (in trees) and a green basilisks extraordinary surprise! A beautiful walk in the forest, the sea
Back to Casita where we enjoy the hammocks!
July 2:
visit an animal shelter near the Casita, Jaguar refuge.Une very good visit!
July 3:
Excursion to the waterfall with Juan Bribri. Not bad for walking in the forest, where we will see many small frogs all red! Swimming at the foot of the waterfall and then climb to the top of the waterfall and then rebaignade! I have good muscle aches for several days! I prefer to walk on the flat!
July 4:
This morning, on waking a troop of howler monkeys frolicking in the trees flush with our Casita, large observation time! A family of agoutis
through the garden ... We take the Casita ... We enjoyed the stay on the Caribbean coast!

Back from Costa Rica where we spent three weeks, including one at the Casa Moabi if you go in Costa René will not regret it. We stayed at the casita is a small paradise. Waking in the morning just the cry of howler monkeys and the singing of birds surrounded by nature far from the noise, and Rene man who will help you discover its nature nothing to do with tour operators. The character worth the trip. To welcome anything to say his wife Simone is adorable and ready to help meet your needs.
